I still have a Wood's light in the drawer of my operation. This is a rehearsal theater for a couple of tasty mushrooms. She drapes, turn off the lights and the glow of the wood (the only UV). Spores of many fungi ray and diagnosis.
Unfortunately, it did not work for all spores, so anyway in these days always referred to scratch for mycology tests.

Yes, a Wood's lamp emits a black light. It is tested on the skin or scalp for various applications.
